Tribological Properties of Bearing Steel Treated with Nitriding on the Surface
摘要
Abstract
This article takes GCr15,GCr18 and other bearing steels as the research object,adopts the gas nitriding tech-nology to carry out the surface modification,and systematically evaluates the performance change of the nitriding layer by means of hardness test,friction and wear test and fatigue performance test,etc.The results show that the nitriding treat-ment forms a dense nitride layer on the surface of the bearing steel,which improves the surface hardness and effectively reduces the coefficient of friction,with the wear resistance significantly improved compared with the untreated samples.The results showed that nitriding treatment formed a dense nitride layer on the surface of bearing steel,improved the sur-face hardness,effectively reduced the coefficient of friction and significantly improved the wear resistance compared with the untreated sample.In addition,the residual compressive stress of the nitrided layer helps to inhibit crack initiation and expansion,and improve the fatigue resistance of the material.The results of this study can provide experimental data and theoretical support for the surface modification of bearing steel,which can help optimise the nitriding process and improve the service performance and service life of bearings.关键词
