Abstract
Piping is one of the primary causes of levee failure. To understand the response characteristics of the levee seepage field after piping occurs,a finite element simulation model was developed based on a hydraulic physical model. The model was used to simulate the variation trends of pore water pressure at different depths and horizontal positions within the levee.Additionally, the effects of piping channel diameter and location on pore pressure were analyzed, helping to determine appropriate installation zones for piezometers within the levee structure. The results indicate that, following piping, significant differences exist in pore water pressure values at varying vertical depths, horizontal distances, and piping channel diameters. To expand the monitoring scope, obtain detailed and reliable data, and provide solid support for levee piping risk assessment,it is essential to properly install pore pressure monitoring equipment.关键词
