Magma Mixing Processes in Andesite and Trachyandesite in Suolun Area,Great Xing'an Range:Evidence from Mineral Geochemistry

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the magma mixing process and its genesis in andesites and dacites from the Suolun area in the Great Xing'an Range.The mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of the rocks were analyzed to study the mineral composition of the andesites and dacites,and their reflection of magma evolution.The research methods include chemical composition analysis of plagioclase and pyroxene minerals,focusing on the zonal characteristics of plagioclase phenocrysts and the compositional variations in pyroxene.The results indicate that the plagioclase phenocrysts in the andesite have a content ranging from 38.71 to 59.70,with some exhibiting clear oscillatory zoning,suggesting magma mixing.The andesites and dacites from the Suolun area originate from the mixing of intermediate to acidic magma with basic magma.As the temperature decreases,plagioclase phenocrysts begin to crystallize,and during the subsequent magma ascent,the filling of basic magma with intermediate-felsic magma results in mineralogical mixing.This study provides important mineralogical evidence for understanding the magma mixing process and its geological context in this area.关键词
