Abstract

Integrated communication and jamming in satellite systems is one of the key approaches of space attack and defense,and the emerging Intelligent Reflecting Surface(IRS)technology provides a new solution for realizing this approach.For the IRS-assisted satellite communication system,a robust Beamforming(BF)algorithm for Integrated communication and jamming is proposed to realize the coexistence of satellite communication and jamming signals.Specifically,the satellite uses multicast technology to serve multiple satellite terminals while applying electromagnetic jamming to ground targets with the assistance of IRS mounted on the satellite's solar panels.A joint optimization problem is formulated to maximize the minimum jamming power,subject to the quality-of-service requirements of each satellite terminals and the maximum transmit power budget of satellite.Under the condition that only imperfect Channel State Information(CSI)is known,a robust beamforming algorithm is proposed by combining the triangular inequality,the first-order Taylor series expansion and S-procedure to solve the non-convex problem,obtaining the beamforming weight vectors for the satellite array and IRS,as well as the power allocation coefficients.The computer simulation results demonstrate the robustness and superiority of the proposed algorithm,realizing the beamforming design for integrated communication and jamming.
