晚清时期吴淞铁路兴废中的土地问题研究
A Study on the Land Issues in the Development and Abandonment of the Wusong Railway during the Late Qing Dynasty

Abstract
The Wusong Railway was the first railway in modern China,and land issues were a difficult problem in the process of its development and abandonment.Tramway Company fraudulently obtained land purchase authorization under the pretext of building roads,but encountered frequent obstacles during the land purchase process,especially in the northern section of Baoshan County where it was difficult to purchase land.Cases of obstruction by the public were frequent.Later,with the coordination of the local government,foreign merchants successfully purchased railway foundations.During the negotiation of the Wusong Railway,the land issue became one of the focuses of negotiations between China and Britain.Both sides attempted to use the land issue to protect their own rights and interests,and ultimately the negotiations ended with the Qing government redeeming the railway.After the redemption and demolition of the railway,the railway foundation became the coveted object of foreign powers,but the Shanghai government learned from the lessons of the Wusong Railway and sternly refused the demands of foreign merchants.The land issue in the development and abandonment of the Wusong Railway is extremely complex,filled with differences in people's demands in concepts,national rights,interests,and other aspects,reflecting that properly solving land problems has become a fundamental work for smoothly promoting railway construction.关键词
