Abstract

In order to explore the natural output particle size,coal quality characteristics and the best u-tilization way of tar-rich coal in northern Shaanxi,the tar-rich coal of Yan'an Formation in Caojiatan Coal Mine of Jurassic Coalfield in northern Shaanxi is taken as the research object,the particle size and coal quality characteristics of raw coal produced under the condition of fully mechanized caving mining were examined.According to the coal quality characteristics of different particle sizes,the adaptability of coal to tar,gasification,power combustion and other utilization ways was discussed.The results show that under the condition of fully-mechanized caving mining,the yield of raw coal with different particle sizes decreases with the decrease of particle size,and the vitrinite content increases first and then de-creases.The change trend of inertinite is opposite,and there is no obvious change in the content of ex-inite.With the decrease of particle size,the moisture and sulfur content in each sample showed an in-creasing trend,the ash content showed a decreasing trend,the volatile matter,fixed carbon and calorific value showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing,and the thermal stability showed a trend of decreasing first and then increasing.Hardgrove grindability index and coal reactivity to CO2 had no ob-vious change trend.Based on the characteristics of coal quality and technical indexes of coal quality,the lump coal larger than 30 mm can be mainly used as Grade Ⅲ coal to semi-coke coal,Grade Ⅱ coal to tar coal,Grade Ⅱ fixed bed gasification coal and Grade Ⅰ clean power coal.The coal of 30~0.5 mm can be used as Grade Ⅱ coal to semi-coke coal,Grade Ⅱ coal to tar coal and Grade Ⅰ clean power coal.Among them,the coal of 13~6 mm can also be used as Grade Ⅰ fixed bed gasification coal,and the coal of 6~3 mm and3~0.5 mm as Grade Ⅱ fluidized bed gasification coal.The-0.5 mm coal can be used as Grade Ⅱ coal tar coal and Grade Ⅱ clean power coal.Different particle sizes of tar-rich coal in Northern Shaanxi have different coal quality characteristics and adaptability,which can be applied to different clean utilization ways according to particle size,so as to maximize the utilization of resources.
