Folk Culture in Traditional Medicinal Markets:A Systematic Analysis and Modern Inheritance Pathways

Abstract
Traditional medicinal markets refer to periodic trading fairs held at historically significant hubs for the distribution of Chinese medicinal materials.These markets played a crucial role in the socio-economic progress of the Ming Dynasty,the Qing Dynasty,and the early Republican era by contributing to public health resource provision,international medicinal trade,economic development,and folk cultural enrichment.The folk cultural system of medicinal markets encompasses four hierarchical subsystems:material culture(artifacts),behavioral culture(practices),institutional culture(norms),cognitive culture(beliefs).The preservation of traditional medicinal market folk culture represents a complex societal endeavor requiring coordinated multi-stakeholder collaboration.This preservation process involves strategic planning centering on the"community"dimension,amplifying the scale of events through the"folk customs"lens,and deepening the thematic focus on the"medicinal"essence.关键词
