Abstract
During the Republic of China period, there were five medical history societies successively, namely,Research Committee of History of Medicine(医史研究会),Chinese Research Society of History of Medicine(中国医史研究社),Medical Research Society of China(中西医药研究社),Editorial Office of Medical History Monthly(医史月刊社),and Chinese Society of Medical History(中华医史学会),each with its own focus on problem awarenesses.Generally speaking, the awarenesses can be divided into three stages:exploration,Westernization, and specialization. With the progress of academic research and the deepening of Western learning, the three stages of exploration by seeking new methods based on compiling history,Westernization by regarding Western medicine as the standard aiming to reform, and specialization by searching for the origins and focusing on historiography are related to each other, showing a trend of scientific and professional development. The five medical history societies were the main fronts for research on history of medicine during the period. The changes in their problem awarenesses reflected the phased differences in collective research on history of medicine during this period,as well as the academic development context of the entire research on history of medicine.关键词
