Correlation Between FTO Gene Polymorphisms and Plaque Psoriasis in Hubei Han Population
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)of fat mass and obesi-ty associated protein(FTO)and plaque psoriasis in the Hubei Han population. Methods Fifty patients diagnosed with plaque psoriasis(experimental group)and 51 healthy individuals(control group)who underwent medical examinations in the Renmin Hospital,Hubei University of Medicine from September 2023 to January 2024 were selected. The polymor-phisms rs8050136 and rs9939609 of the FTO gene were detected, and the relationships between genotypes and metabolic indicators were analyzed. Results The genotype distribution(χ2=6.679,P=0.020)and allele frequency(χ2=6.028,P=0.016)of the rs9939609(A/T)locus in the experimental group were different from those in the control group.Patients with AT+AA genotypes had significantly higher body mass index(BMI)and triacylglycerols(TGs)than those with the TT genotype. There was no marked difference at the rs8050136(A/C)locus(P>0.05).Univariate analysis showed that sys-tolic blood pressure(SBP),BMI,TGs,and the rs9939609 A allele were associated with the development of psoriasis(P<0.05).Multivariate regression analysis indicated that BMI was the main risk factor(P<0.05).Conclusion The rs9939609 polymorphism of the FTO gene is associated with the susceptibility to plaque psoriasis in the Hubei Han popula-tion.Additionally,patients with AT+AA genotypes exhibited elevated BMI and TGs.Furthermore,SBP,BMI,TGs,and the rs9939609 A allele were related with the onset of plaque psoriasis, with BMI identified as the primary risk factor.关键词
