Expression and Clinical Significance of BAF57 in Colorectal Cancer Tissues

Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of Brahma-related gene 1(BRG1)-associated factor 57(BAF57)in colorectal cancer(CRC)tissues and its clinical significance.Methods A total of 60 pa-tients with CRC who underwent surgical treatment in our hospital from January 2017 to December 2018 were retrospectively selected for this study.During operation,samples of cancerous tissues and adjacent tis-sues were collected.The expression of BAF57 mRNA in tissue samples was determined by real-time fluo-rescence quantitative PCR(qPCR),and the expression of BAF57 protein in tissue samples was detected by Western blot.The relationships between the expression levels of BAF57 mRNA and its protein,and the pathological features and prognosis of CRC were analyzed.Results Compared with adjacent tissues,the expression levels of BAF57 mRNA and its protein in CRC tissues were significantly increased(P＜0.05).The expression levels of BAF57 mRNA and its protein in CRC tissues were correlated with tumor TNM stage,degree of tissue differentiation,lymph node metastasis and postoperative survival time of patients(P＜0.05).The higher the clinical stage,the lower the degree of differentiation,the presence of lymph node metastasis,and the longer the postoperative survival time,the higher the expression levels of BAF57 mRNA and its protein in cancer tissues.Conclusion The expression levels of BAF57 mRNA and its pro-tein in CRC tissues are increased,which are related to tumor stage,degree of differentiation,lymph node metastasis and survival status.The increase of BAF57 has certain reference value for predicting the malig-nant progression and prognosis of CRC.关键词
