Research Progress on Functional Genomics of Main Economic Traits in Goats
摘要
Abstract
Goats(Capra hircus)are important livestock species,widely distributed worldwide with rich genetic resources.Due to differences in production systems,significant variations exist among goats in key economic traits such as reproduction,meat production,cashmere production,and milk yield.The genomics research of major economic traits in goats is of great significance for breed improvement,conservation of genetic resources,and the development of the goat industry.This review summarizes recent progress in the identification and mining of functional genes related to major economic traits in goats using genome sequencing and other approaches by researchers both domestically and internationally.We discuss the advantages and disadvantages of new and conventional techniques and present prospects for future directions in this field,aiming to provide references for the genetic breeding and practical production of goats.关键词
