Factors Affecting the Production and Quality of Colostrum in Dairy Cows

Abstract
Summary:Colostrum is a rich source of both nutritional and non nutritional components for calves,a necessary condition for passive immunity in newborn calves,and a key factor in cultivating healthy calves in dairy farms.Therefore,maintaining sufficient and high-quality colostrum supply throughout the year is crucial for a dairy farm.This article provides a review of the effects of individual,seasonal,environmental,dietary,and management factors on the production and quality of colostrum in dairy cows,in order to provide theoretical references for improving colostrum production and quality in dairy farms and the health level of calves.关键词
