Abstract
To explore the in vitro antibacterial effects and clinical efficacy of Gualou Powder compound infusion agent against pathogenic bacteria causing bovine mastitis,this experiment selected nine Chinese herbs including Trichosanthes kirilowii(Gualou),Hibiscus mutabilis leaves(Furongye),Glycyrrhiza uralensis(Shenggancao),and Boswellia carterii(Ruxiang)formulated in specific proportions.The compound infusion agent was prepared using water extraction and alcohol precipitation method.The Oxford cup method and two-fold serial dilution method were employed to determine its in vitro antibacterial effects against Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,and Streptococcus spp.Clinical therapeutic effects were evaluated using milk somatic cell count(SCC),milk yield,and clinical symptom improvement as assessment indicators.Results demonstrated that:The Gualou Powder compound infusion agent exhibited significant in vitro antibacterial activity against Streptococcus spp.,Staphylococcus aureus,and Escherichia coli.It significantly reduced SCC in milk from mastitic cows,markedly increased milk yield in affected cattle,and showed high effective and cure rates for bovine mastitis cases.These findings indicate that the Gualou Powder compound infusion agent possesses excellent therapeutic efficacy against bovine mastitis.关键词
