Abstract
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of coronal positional flap(CAF)combined with connective tissue transplantation(CTG)on gingival recession and its impact on comfort and postoperative aesthetics.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 70 patients with gingival recession in our hospital from March 2020 to May 2024.Among them,30 patients received simple CAF treatment and were divideinto CAF group,and the other 35 patients received CAF combined with CTG treatment and were divided into CAF+CTG group.Six months after treatment,patients were followed up to compare their periodontal related parameters,subjective satisfaction scores,aesthetic scores,and incidence of complications.Results Comparing the levels of probing depth PD(PD),gum recession depth(GRD),root coverage rate(RC),and keratinized gingival width(WKG)between the two groups of patients before treatment,no significant differences were found(P>0.05).According to the follow-up results after 6 months,PD and GRD decreased in both groups after treatment,with the CAF+CTG group lower than the CAF group,RC and WKG levels increased,and the CAF+CTG group higher than the CAF group(P<0.05);Comparing the satisfaction scores related to the position of the gingival junction,gingival color,gingival margin morphology,gingival morphology,and gingival margin position between two groups of patients before treatment,no significant difference was found(P>0.05).According to the follow-up results after 6 months,the satisfaction scores related to the position of the gingival junction,gingival color,gingival margin morphology,gingival morphology,and gingival margin position increased in both groups after treatment,with the CAF+CTG group being higher than the CAF group(P<0.05);Comparing the White Aesthetic Rating(WES),Red Aesthetic Rating(PES),and Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores of two groups of patients before treatment,no significant difference was found(P>0.05).According to the follow-up results after 6 months,the WES and PES scores of both groups of patients increased after treatment,with the CAF+CTG group being higher than the CAF group and the VAS score decreasing,while the CAF+CTG group was lower than the CAF group;Comparing the two groups of complications,it was found that there was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the CAF+CTG group and the CAF group(P>0.05).Conclusions CAF combined with CTG treatment can achieve good gingival restoration results in patients with gingival recession,with high patient satisfaction,good dental and gingival aesthetics,high comfort,and no significant complications compared to CAF treatment alone.关键词
