Effects of methylphenidate hydrochloride sustained-release tablets on SNAP-Ⅳ score and expression of PRL and S100β in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder

Abstract
Objective To study the effects of adjuvant treatment with methylphenidate hydrochloride extended-release tablets on the symptomatic manifestations of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)and related serum proteins and neurotransmitters in children with ADHD.Methods A total of 126 children with ADHD who were treated in the children's mental Health Clinic of Tai'an Maternal and Child Health Hospital from April 2022 to March 2024 were selected as the study objects.They were randomly divided into two groups by drawing lots,with 63 cases in each group.The control group received ADHD executive function training.The observation group received methylphenidate hydrochloride sustained-release tablets on the basis of executive function training.Symptom improvement,serum protein and neurotransmitter levels,and general intelligence were observed before and after treatment.Results Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference between the SNAP-Ⅳ scale scores of the two groups of children(P>0.05).After treatment,the SNAP-Ⅳ scores of all dimensions of the two groups decreased significantly compared with the pre-treatment period(P<0.05)and the SNAP-Ⅳ scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Prolactin(PRL)of the observation group was observed in the 1st and 2nd months after treatment,Prolactin(PRL),central nerve specific protein β(S100β),neurotransmitter levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)and norepinephrine(NE)in the 1st and 2nd months after treatment were higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).And the percentage of children with intermediate and above intelligence in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The addition of methylphenidate hydrochloride extended-release tablets to the clinical treatment of children with ADHD can effectively improve the clinical efficacy,improve the symptoms of children with ADHD,and improve the related serum protein indexes and neurotransmitter expression levels,so as to improve the intelligence level of the children.关键词
