Abstract
Objective To explore and analyze the application value of oral care in patients with orthodontic fixed correction.Methods During the period of 2022.1～2024.1,99 patients with orthodontic fixed correction treated in our hospital were selected to receive nursing intervention based on the theory of knowledge and practice,and the intervention effect was observed.Results After intervention,the gingival index,enamel demineralization index and plaque index were significantly decreased compared with those before intervention(P<0.05).After intervention,gingivitis occurred in 2 cases,gingival bleeding in 1 case,gingival hyperplasia in 1 case,and the complication rate was 4.04%.The score of self-care ability Scale(ESCA)after intervention was significantly higher than that before intervention(P<0.05).The score of oral health-related quality of life(OHIP-14)was significantly lower after intervention than before intervention(P<0.05).64 patients were very satisfied with oral care,30 were generally satisfied,5 were not satisfied,and the satisfaction rate was 94.95%.Conclusions The application of the nursing based on the theory of knowledge and practice can improve the gingival health of patients with orthodontic fixed correction,reduce complications,improve their self-care ability,quality of life and satisfaction.关键词
