Abstract

[Objective]Aiming at the evolutionary characteristics of vegetation net primary productivity(NPP)in Nanchang city and the identification of the main driving factors affecting its spatio-temporal evolution,an in-depth study of the evolutionary characteristics of NPP can provide a scientific basis for quantifying the degree of health of the regional ecosystems and the balance of the ecological environment in the context of climate change.[Method]Based on ArcGIS and Matlab platforms,the evolutionary characteristics of NPP and its spatio-temporal driving factors from 1998-2015 were quantitatively assessed using ReliefF,RF algorithm and geoprobes.[Result]1)In the analysis of the time perspective,NPP generally shows a fluctuating upward trend,with distinct seasonal changes;in the space,it generally shows a distribution pattern of high in the middle bottom and high in the surroundings,and the minimal values are basically distributed in the following areas:in the Donghu district,Xihu district,the northeastern part of the Xinjian district,and the northwestern part of the Jinxian county;2)Comparing the several algorithms,it can be seen that ReliefF algorithm has the highest accuracy of the fit,and is more suitable for the regression analysis of the NPP,and both algorithms have the most significant influence of aboveground temperature and precipitation on the evolution of NPP;3)In space,the geodetector results show that the NPP of Nanchang city is most significantly affected by the rainfall factor;and in the time dimension,the Pearson correlation analysis after regression analysis and featurefiltering shows that the anthropogenic factor has a much higher impact on the NPP than the meteorological driver.[Conclusion]With the accelerated process of urbanization,large-scale population migration to the city has resulted in a significant increase in construction land and changes in land use structure.The NPP values of Anyi and Jinxian county,where urbanization is slower,are significantly higher than those of small and medium-sized cities.The development of urbanization makes the growth of vegetation no longer influenced by natural factors alone.Human activities,such as agricultural farming,land use change,urbanization,deforestation and afforestation,directly affect vegetation NPP,and human activities and natural factors will jointly shape ecosystem function and structure.A comprehensive understanding of NPP drivers is particularly important for monitoring and assessing ecosystem integrity and biodiversity.
