Meta-analysis of the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy by acupoint application based on the midnight-noon ebb-flow nazi theory
摘要
Abstract
Objective To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)by acupoint application based on the midnight-noon ebb-flow theory using meta-analysis.Methods A systematic search was conducted in CNKI,VIP and Wanfang databases for randomized controlled trial(RCT)that used acupoint application based on the theory of midnight-noon ebb-flow to treat DPN,with a search timeframe of the construction of the database to July 2024.The quality of the included studies was assessed by using the Cochrane bias risk assessment tool.And RevMan 5.4 was employed for meta-analysis.Results Out of 6 literatures were included in final,including 576 patients,with 300 in the study group while 276 in the control group.The results of meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group,the total clinical effective rate of DPN treated with acupoint application based on the theory of midnight-noon ebb-flow was increased(RR=1.19,95%CI[1.11,1.28],P<0.000 01),Toronto clinical scoring system(TCSS)score decreased(MD=-1.52,95%CI[-1.75,-1.30],P<0.000 01)and the TCM syndrome score decreased(MD=-3.64,95%CI[-4.32,-2.97],P<0.000 01),all differences were statistically significant.Conclusion The application of acupuncture in the treatment of DPN based on the theory of midnight-noon ebb-flow can effectively improve the total clinical effective rate,improve the clinical symptoms and improve the quality of life of patients.However,due to limitations such as low quality and publication bias of included studies,and the literature on the treatment of DPN by theory of midnight-noon ebb-flow is few,high-quality RCT studies are needed for further verification in the future.关键词
