Research progress and challenges of gelatin-hydroxyapatite composite materials in bone tissue engineering
摘要
Abstract
With the increasing demand for bone defect repair,the methods of autogenous and allogeneic bone transplantation have certain limitations,and it is urgent to find suitable bone transplant substitutes.Gelatin and hydroxyapatite are respectively one of the organic and inorganic components of natural bone structure,with good biocompatibility,bone conductivity,and hydrophilicity.They are commonly used materials for bone repair,and the combination of the two can prepare safe,harmless,and high-performance bone transplant substitutes.The key to the successful repair of bone defects with artificial bone products lies in simulating bone tissue regeneration.Therefore,understanding the structure of bone tissue and preparing high-performance products is crucial.This article provides an overview of the properties and current applications of gelatin and hydroxyapatite,elaborates on the preparation and application of composite materials,and summarizes their in vitro and in vivo experiments.It also discusses current research hotspots.Finally,the future research directions of gelatin-hydroxyapatite composite materials were envisaged.关键词
