Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of scenario simulation teaching method and problem-based learning(PBL)teaching method in ophthalmology internship.Methods A total of 96 medical students,Grade 2021,majoring in clinical medicine of Shandong Second Medical University who were on internship in ophthalmology(hereinafter referred to as"medical interns")were selected as the research objects,and were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group with the help of a random number generator,and the teaching effect was evaluated by theoretical examination,skill operation examination and questionnaire survey.The experimental group adopted the scenario simulation teaching method combined with the PBL teaching method,and the control group adopted the traditional teaching method.Results The theoretical assessment scores of intern doctors in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group,which were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of the test group were higher than those of the control group in history taking,slit lamp examination,funduscopic examination,intraocular pressure measurement,ocular medication method and other skills operation assessment and the total scores were higher than those of the control group,which were statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction of intern doctors in the experimental group in improving learning interest,cultivating clinical thinking ability and enhancing teamwork ability was significantly higher than that of the control group,which were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Scenario simulation teaching method combined with PBL teaching method has significant application effect in ophthalmology internship teaching,which can improve the learning performance,learning interest and comprehensive quality of intern doctors.
