摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the antibacterial effects of water and alcohol extracts from She medicine Vaccinium bracteatum leaves.Methods The Oxford cup method was used to observe the antibacterial effects of water and alcohol extracts from She medicine Vaccinium bracteatum leaves on bacteria such as Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,Shigella sonnei,Salmonella paratyphoid type B,Bacillus subtilis,and fungi such as Aspergillus niger,brewing yeast,and Aspergillus oryzae.Results Both extracts had relatively good effects on bacteria,but did not exhibit antibacterial effects on fungi.There were significant differences in the antibacterial effects of the two solvent extracts on different bacteria.Overall,the water extract of She medicine Vaccinium bracteatum leaves has a larger inhibition zone diameter than the alcohol extract on the tested bacteria.Conclusion The antibacterial effect of the water extract of She medicine Vaccinium bracteatum leaves is stronger than that of the alcohol extract.
