摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the correlation between atherogenic index of plasma(AIP)and diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),and to evaluate its predictive value for DPN.Methods A total of 90 patients with T2DM admitted to Hongqi Hospital Affiliated to Mudanjiang Medical University from September 2022 to December 2023 were collected and divided into the DPN group(n=62)and the non DPN group(n=28).All patients underwent electromyography.Results With the increase of AIP level,the proportion of DPN increased obviously(P<0.05).The motor conduction velocity of bilateral common peroneal nerve and sensory conduction velocity(SCV)of bilateral posterior tibial nerve and superficial peroneal nerve decreased gradually(P<0.05).Binary logistic regression analysis showed that AIP(OR=2.826,P<0.001)was still an independent risk factor for DPN after adjusting for the course of diabetes mellitus,glycosylated hemoglobin,triglyceride,total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein.ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve predicted by AIP was 0.791,the sensitivity was 92.90%and the specificity was 51.60%.Conclusion High AIP is an independent risk factor for DPN.
