Risk Factors and Risk Prediction Model Construction for Postoperative Chemotherapy-Induced Malnutrition in Lung Cancer Patients

Abstract
Objective To analyze the risk factors for postoperative chemotherapy-induced malnutrition in lung cancer patients and to construct a risk prediction model.Methods A total of 117 lung cancer patients who received postoperative chemotherapy at Yibin Second People's Hospital from July 2021 to June 2024 were enrolled and divided into the malnutrition group(n=42)and the well-nourished group(n=75)based on the occurrence of malnutrition.Multivariate logistic stepwise re-gression analysis was performed to identify influencing factors of malnutrition;a nomogram was developed and its predictive value was evaluated.Results Significant differences(P<0.05)were observed in age,body mass index(BMI),clinical stage,tumor differentiation,hemoglobin,lymphocyte count,albumin,neutrophil count,and neutrophil-to—lymphocyte ratio(NLR)between the two groups.Clinical stage and NLR were identified as risk factors for malnutrition,whereas BMI,hemoglobin,and albumin acted as protective factors(P<0.05).The nomogram model demonstrated a consistency index(C-index)of 0.894(95%CI:0.842-0.946).The model showed good calibration,with the calibration curve closely aligning with the ideal line.The area un-der the curve(AUC)for predicting malnutrition was 0.905(95%CI:0.853-0.957),with specificity of 68.44%and sensitivity of 93.15%.Conclusion The nomogram model incorporating BMI,clinical stage,hemoglobin,NLR,and albumin demonstrates high predictive accuracy for postoperative chemotherapy-induced malnutrition in lung cancer patients.关键词
