Effects of Modified Guizhi Fuling Pill Combined with Hysteroscopic Surgery on Endometrial Thickness and Reproductive Hormone Levels in Patients with Endometrial Polyps

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of modified Guizhi Fuling pill combined with hysteroscopic surgery on endometrial thickness and reproductive hormone levels in patients with endometrial polyps.Methods:A total of 94 patients with endometrial polyps treated at Yueyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2023 to May 2024 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 47 cases in each group.Both groups underwent hysteroscopic surgery.On this basis,the control group received dydrogesterone treatment,while the observation group received dydrogesterone combined with modified Guizhi Fuling pill.The therapeutic efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores before and after treatment,endometrial thickness,reproductive hormone levels,and safety were compared between the two groups.Results:The effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in TCM syndrome scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in endometrial thickness between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the endometrial thickness in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in progesterone(P),estradiol(E2),or follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)levels between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).No significant adverse reactions were observed in either group during treatment.The recurrence rate in the observation group was 4.26%(2/47),significantly lower than that in the control group(19.15%,9/47)(χ2=5.045,P=0.025<0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in the Short Form-36(SF-36)quality of life scores between the two groups(P>0.05).At the final follow-up,the SF-36 score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with endometrial polyps undergoing hysteroscopic surgery,the combination of dydrogesterone and modified Guizhi Fuling pill can improve therapeutic efficacy,reduce TCM syndrome scores,decrease endometrial thickness and recurrence rate,enhance quality of life,and demonstrate good safety.关键词
