Abstract
A variational mode decomposition(VMD)algorithm based on whale optimization algorithm(WOA)is proposed to address the problem of traditional methods being unable to effectively determine the first surge stage of compressor with instability inception signal.Firstly,whale optimization theory with envelope entropy is used as the fitness function,and the modal number K and penalty factor α of the VMD are intelligently opti-mized.Then the dynamic pressure signal of the compressor is decomposed into several modal components through the optimized algorithm,and the modal components that eliminate modal waves and high-frequency noise are selected to replace the original dynamic pressure signal.Finally,the first surge stage of compressor based on the engineering definition and the dynamic pressure rise and fall relationship of each boost stage of the compressor before surging is determined.Through specific compressor experiments,it is proved that this method has good applicability for modal waveform instability precursors,with high signal-to-noise separation and anti-phase shift capabilities.This method enables engineers to have a more solid mathematical foundation when determining the first surge stage of compressor.关键词
