Reliability Analysis of Graphite-Gap-Type SPD Applied in Wind Turbines

Abstract
To study the reliability of graphite-gap-type Surge Protector Device(SPD)in wind tur-bines,the SPD application reliability is analyzed starting from the production process of graphite gap-type SPD and operating environment of wind turbines,and based on the qualitative and quantitative anal-ysis of bolt loosening theory.The following conclusions are obtained:Both high current impact and vibra-tion can lead to a decrease in bolt torque and may cause the displacement of the equal voltage electric ca-pacitor plate,resulting in an increase in residual voltage and inadequate protection for the back-end e-quipment.Therefore,it is not recommended to use graphite-gap-type SPD in wind turbines.关键词
