Abstract

Land Subsidence is one of the common geological hazards faced by buried pipelines,which can severely affect the safe operation of pipelines.To study the deformation and mechanical behavior of pipelines under land subsidence,the influences of settlement depth,formation elastic modulus,settlement zone length,settlement transition zone length and working internal pressure on the deformation and mechanical behavior of pipelines were investigated.The results show that an increase in settlement depth will increase the stress and strain of the pipeline.The elastic modulus of the formation is negatively correlated with the maximum stress of the pipeline and has a relatively small influence on the strain.The change in the length of the subsidence zone has no significant effect on the stress and strain values of the pipeline,but it will cause the stress and strain distribution of the pipeline to shift along the axial direction.The length of the subsidence transition zone has a significant impact on the both the subsidence and non-subsidence areas of the pipeline.Increasing the length of the subsidence transition zone can reduce the stress and strain.An increase in internal pressure can reduce the value at the maximum stress-strain point of the pipeline.
