摘要

Abstract

To investigate the effect of heavy rare earth elements on inclusions in X65 pipeline steel,X65 was subjected to oxidative metallurgical treatment by adding yttrium iron wire during LF furnace refining,resulting in X65RE treated with yttrium based heavy rare earth elements.Electrolytic analysis was conducted on billet samples of both X65 and X65RE,while rolled samples were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy and ASPEX analysis.The results showed that the addition of yttrium-based heavy rare earths significantly reduced the content of inclusions per unit mass in the casting billet and exhibited a significant refinement effect on large inclusions.The number of inclusions per unit area in the rolled specimens was significantly reduced.Furthermore,adding yttrium based heavy rare earths can effectively lower the oxygen and sulfur content,inhibit the formation of inclusions,prevent the aggregation of Al2O3,and exhibit a good effect on the modification of inclusions.Rare earth inclusions tend to grow upon adsorbing impurity elements.Due to their relatively low density,they rise and can be easily removed.
