Effect of Juvenile Hormone Titers on Fecundity of Trichogramma dendrolimi
摘要
Abstract
To investigate the effect of juvenile hormone titer on the fecundity of Trichogramma dendrolimi,the high fecundity strain TdHF and low fecundity strain TdLF were used as experimental materials to detect the difference of juvenile hormone titer and fecundity of different strains of T.dendrolimi.The results showed that the titers of juvenile hormone decreased first and then increased with the developmental stages of TdHF and TdLF,and the titers were highest in larval stage(572.86 and 555.54 μg·mL-1),followed by adult stage(496.55 and 532.77 μg·mL-1).The juvenile hormone titer of TdHF was significantly lower than that of TdLF in pre-pupal stage(5 d)and adult stage.TdHF had significantly higher fertility,eclosion rate and ovaries than TdLF.Compared with the TdLF strain,the ovaries of TdHF are more full and carry fewer grade Ⅰ and grade Ⅱ eggs and more grade Ⅲ eggs.In conclusion,the drops of juvenile hormone in TdLF are too high,which inhibits ovarian and egg development of TdLF,and thus reduces the fertility of TdLF female bees.关键词
