Synthesis of Monosubstituted Isoxazoles from Nitrile Oxides with Calcium Carbide as Acetylene Source

Abstract
An efficient and green method has been explored for the synthesis of isoxazoles based on a[3+2]cycloaddition of in situ generated nitrile oxide and calcium carbide.Calcium carbide was used as a safe and easy-to-handle acetylene source for the preparation,without the requirements for specialized high-pressure equipment.The key nitrile oxide intermediates in the synthesis of isoxazoles are formed by treatment of aldoximes with sodium hypochlorite.The method employed aldoximes and calcium carbide as raw materials,trichloromethane as solvent,sodium hypochlorite solution as oxidant at room temperature for 10 hours to synthesize a variety of 3-monosubstituted isoxazole derivatives,with the highest product yield of 86%,has the characteristics of high reaction efficiency and simple conditions.关键词
