摘要

Abstract

As a clean and renewable alternative energy source,alcohol fuels have a significant effect on optimizing the emission performance of engines.By using numerical simulation to calculate the engine operation process,problems such as high equipment development investment and long test cycles can be avoided in experimental researches.In this article,the CONVERGE software was used to analyze three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics(CFD)based on the test results of YC4Y22 Yuchai diesel engine using diesel/n-pentanol fuel.Various calculation modules were reasonably set up,and a simplified three-dimensional geometric model of the engine was established.On the basis of this model,the influence of some parameters on the model's prediction of engine cylinder pressure and emissions was analyzed.The results showed that the setting of temperature boundaries had little effect on the model's prediction of cylinder pressure,and the setting of initial temperature could effectively correct the cylinder pressure curve.The emissions of HC and CO in the model decreased with the increase of piston boundary temperature conditions and cylinder head temperature boundary conditions,and first decreased and then increased with the increase of wall temperature conditions.At the same time,the emissions of HC and CO decreased with the increase of the depth size of the fuel injector,and increased with the increase of the diameter size.Based on the above results,the parameters were adjusted to compare the combustion and emission characteristics of diesel/n-pentanol fuel engines.A reasonable computational fluid dynamics model of the engine was established,which was applied to analyze and optimize the combustion and emission characteristics of diesel/n-pentanol hybrid fuel engines under different factors.
