Abstract
The compaction test apparatus is a geotechnical instrument used to determine the maximum dry density and optimum moisture content of cohesive soil using a standard compaction method under a given compaction effort.It is classified into electric and manual compaction test apparatus based on the driving mechanism of the compaction hammer.During parallel testing of identical soil samples using both hammer-driving methods,discrepancies in test results were observed between the two compaction modes.To understand the correlation between the results obtained from the two methods,multiple identical soil samples were tested using both instruments,and the data were compared and analyzed.Empirical correlation corrections between the two compaction methods were derived,which may serve as a reference for similar compaction tests.关键词
