The Influence of Kindergarten Organizational Climate on Teachers'Caring Behaviors:The Mediating Role of Teachers'Self-Efficacy

Abstract
This study takes 464 kindergarten teachers from ten kindergartens in Hubei and Anhui provinces as the research subjects to examine the mediating role of teachers'self-efficacy between kindergarten organizational climate and caring behaviors.The results indicate that:(1)Significant differences exist in the overall level of caring behaviors among kindergarten teachers of dif-ferent genders,professional titles,educational backgrounds,kindergarten types,kindergarten levels,and those with and without ad-ministrative duties;(2)Among the kindergarten organizational climate factors,principals'supervisory and supportive behaviors,as well as teachers'dedicated and intimate behaviors are significantly positively correlated with kindergarten teachers'caring behav-iors.In contrast,principals'restrictive behaviors and teachers'alienated behaviors are significantly negatively correlated with kindergarten teachers'caring behaviors;(3)Kindergarten teachers'self-efficacy partially mediates the association between the kindergarten organizational climate and teachers'caring behaviors.A positive organizational climate can indirectly enhance the quality and efficiency of teachers'caring behaviors by improving teachers'self-efficacy.Based on these findings,this study propos-es countermeasures and suggestions for improving the level of teachers'caring behaviors from three perspectives:principals,teach-ers,and society.关键词
