Abstract

The whiteness of phosphogypsum is affected by various impurities.Improving whiteness is beneficial for enhancing the quality of phosphogypsum-based products and expanding their application range.In this paper,the phosphogypsum discharged from a phosphorus chemical enterprise was taken as the research object.Firstly,the organic matter and iron-containing impurities were removed in turn by two reverse flotations,and then the quartz and unreacted phosphate ore were removed by positive flotation to achieve the impurity removal and whitening of phospho-gypsum.The results show that the whiteness of phosphogypsum calcined at 700℃can be increased from 77.3%to 88.6%by reverse flotation test;After two reverse flotation,phosphogypsum concentrate is subjected to positive flota-tion using collector C(fatty amine).Under the conditions of collector C dosage of 300 g/t and pH=2,the whiteness of the concentrate reached 90%after calcination at 700℃,with the concentrate yield of 58.7%.When the mass frac-tion of whitening agent was 4.41%and the reaction time was 10 h,the whiteness of phosphogypsum can reach 96.3%.This flotation method has low cost,simple process,and significant whitening effect,which can provide refer-ence for the treatment,disposal,and resource utilization of phosphogypsum.
