Spatial Spillover Asymmetry and Nonlinear Impact of Digital Infrastructure on Inclusive Green Growth

Abstract
In order to cope with the three major development problems of economic inefficiency,unequal distribution of so-cial welfare and ecological degradation,China has proposed that the digital infrastructure strategy,including the construction of in-formation technology,should be developed moderately ahead of schedule.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2012 to 2024,a semi-parametric threshold spatial lag model is constructed to empirically analyze the nonlinear relationship and spatial spillover asymmetry of digital infrastructure on inclusive green growth.It is found that digital infrastructure can significantly promote inclusive green growth;the contribution of digital infrastructure to inclusive green growth exhibits an increasing"marginal effect"-stagnating"marginal effect"-decreasing"marginal effect"in a"U-shaped"nonlinear relationship.After a series of ro-bustness tests,the conclusion of this nonlinear characteristic still holds;there is an asymmetric effect of spatial spillovers from digi-tal infrastructure on inclusive green growth,with the spatial spillovers captured by developed regions of digital infrastructure being significantly larger than those captured by less developed regions;heterogeneity analysis shows that the bias of digital infrastructure for inclusive green growth in the eastern and western regions is characterized by a"U-shape",while the bias for inclusive green growth in the central region is characterized by a"W-shape".关键词
