摘要

Abstract

Event classification is a crucial preliminary task in event extraction.While research on the classification systems for natural disaster events has gradually improved both domestically and internationally,few scholars have focused on the classification of dynamic process events within specific domains of emergency events.The research proposes an event classification system for major flood disasters based on a hybrid method that primarily employs area classification,supplemented by line classification.This system is developed by integrating the characteristics of text-based event sets related to major flood disasters and focuses on the entire process of flood disaster emergencies—before,during,and after the event.The system categorizes flood disaster events into four major categories and 22 subcategories:prevention and early warning information,flood disaster information,emergency response information,and post-disaster recovery information,with corresponding event codes for each category.This classification system covers the full process from pre-disaster prevention,emergency response,to post-disaster recovery.It not only aids the government in rapidly responding to floods to improve emergency management efficiency but also provides a reference for emergency response work in combination with other disaster events.
