摘要

Abstract

To improve the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy for transmission line fittings,by employing aluminum alloy refiners for grain refinement,the optimal proportion and composition of grain refiners is searched to make the alloy more suitable for manufacturing electrical fittings.The particle composition and characteristics of different refining agents in the Al-7.5Si-0.6Mg-0.08Fe aluminum alloy used in power fittings is investigated,utilizing techniques such as metallographic microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.Additionally,instruments like digital Brinell hardness tester and universal tensile testing machine are employed to explore the effects of various types and concentrations of refining agents on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy.Experimental results indicate that the addition of 1wt.%Al-TCB seed alloy achieves the limit of grain refinement,reducing the secondary dendrite arm spacing of α-Al from 51.76µm to 13.5 µm.A comparison of the refining effects of different types of refining agents,namely Al-5Ti-B,Al-3Ti-B,and Al-TCB,reveals that the addition of 1wt.%Al-3Ti-B demonstrates the most significant improvement in grain refinement and mechanical properties of the alloy,with grain size reduced to 12.46µm.After T6 treatment,the Vickers hardness of the alloy is increased to 118.7 HV,and the tensile strength is rised to 320 MPa.
