Abstract

China boasts a large scale of lychee cultivation area and output.However,due to the immaturity of mechanized processing technology for peeling and denucleation that ensures the shaping rate of the fruit flesh,the industrial development of related deep-processed products is restricted.To address the issues of high labor costs,time-consuming efforts in the current lychee processing market,as well as the low shaping rate of fruit flesh and the need to solve the problem of graded peeling and denucleation in existing lychee peeling and denucleation devices,a comprehensive processing technology plan for lychee peeling and denucleation that guarantees the integrity of the fruit flesh is proposed.The plan is primarily comprised of punching mechanisms,peeling and denucleation knives,pre-cutting mechanisms,conveyor chains,power elements,and nucleus-flesh sorting components,based on a detailed analysis of the lychee peeling and denucleation process and principles.Furthermore,the motion cycle coordination design of the key executing mechanisms is carried out,and the feasibility of the size and material of the peeling and denucleation knives is verified through finite element strength analysis.Finally,after completing the trial processing of key components,the good integrity of the fruit flesh after peeling and denucleation is verified through statistical analysis experiments on lychee quality characteristics,quality loss rate,and processing time.The results of key experimental indicators show that the success rate of lychee peeling and denucleation could reach over 90%,the average quality loss rate of the fruit flesh is 3.58%,and the maximum loss rate did not exceed 8%.The device exhibits good results in ensuring the integrity of lychee fruit flesh.
