Abstract

In order to improve the wear resistance of TC4 titanium alloy under extreme working conditions,the research group used a nanosecond pulsed laser with a wavelength of 1 064 nm to perform micro-nano-machining on the surface of TC4 titanium alloy.Two types of bionic structures like honeycomb-like structure and butterfly vibrating wing-like structure were designed by combining with bionic principles.The micro-structured surfaces were prepared using different laser scanning strategies.Scanning electron microscope,confocal microscope and friction and wear tester were used to observe and analyze the surface morphology,wear resistance and post-wear surface morphology of the bionic-like structures.The results show that the curve changes of the bionic honeycomb-like structure and butterfly vibrating wing-like structure after surface wear are smaller and the curve is more uniform,and their surface linear roughness values are respectively reduced by 2.815 times and 2.075 times compared to the polished state.The wear resistance of TC4 titanium alloy with the biomimetic structure is significantly improved.
