Real-Time Migration Method for Container Pre-Dump Based on Layered Characteristics

Abstract
In recent years,digitalization and industrialization technologies have been widely applied across various industries,leading to a rapid increase in the number of edge network devices and consequently a dramatic rise in data volume.In this era of ubiquitous connectivity,network bandwidth has gradually become a bottleneck for edge computing performance.To address the issue of excessive data transmission dur-ing mobile edge service migration,a real-time Docker container migration solution tailored for mobile edge computing is proposed.By leverag-ing the layered nature of containers,real-time container migration is achieved,and an image repository is created on the source node,using image IDs as indices to reduce data transmission time.Furthermore,to minimize service downtime,a pre-dump mechanism is introduced,en-hancing state information migration iteratively based on pre-copying and combined with CRIU(Checkpoint/Restore in Userspace).The experi-mental results show that this scheme can achieve effective real-time migration of services,significantly reducing service downtime and total migration time,thereby ensuring service continuity.关键词
