INTERACTIVE DESIGN FOR FACIAL EXPRESSION RECOGNITION TRAINING IN CHILDREN WITH AUTISM

Abstract
Children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD)face significant challenges in recognizing basic emotions,a deficit that exacerbates the severity of their social impairments.This study aims to design an intelligent product for facial expression recognition training tailored for children with ASD,integrating system diagrams and interactive design techniques to achieve real-time feedback and personalized training.Initially,interviews and surveys were conducted to summarize the issues,impacts,and design preferences regarding facial expression recognition in ASD children as proposed by special education teachers and parents.Subsequently,a system diagram was utilized to construct an"assessment-training-feedback"ecological framework for the interactive system of emotional recognition training for ASD children.User models,user experience journey maps,information architectures,and flowcharts were then established to complete the interactive product design integrating both software and hardware.This product not only assists professional rehabilitation training but also provides parents with home intervention tools,thereby overcoming spatial and temporal limitations and enhancing the accessibility and sustainability of training.The interactive design compensates for the shortcomings of traditional interventions,offering new solutions for facial expression recognition training and the development of social skills in children with ASD.关键词
