基于物种分布模型的南极电灯鱼栖息地分布研究
Habitat Distribution of Electrona antarctica Based on Species Distribution Model
摘要
Abstract
The impact of global climate change on marine ecosystems is currently a hot topic of research.Electrona antarctica is one of the most abundant midwater fish species in Southern Ocean. The change in habitat distribution due to climate change may impact higher trophic-level predators, biogeochemical cycles, and ecosystem functionality.Species distribution models are powerful for assessing the impact of climate change on species habitats. In this study,we utilized generalized additive models, generalized boosting models, classification and regression tree analysis, and multivariate adaptive regression splines, combined six environmental factors including sea surface temperature, sea surface salinity, chlorophyll concentration, sea ice concentration, distance from shore, and depth, and built an integrated model. With the model,we predicted the habitat distribution and changes of E.antarctica under different future climate scenarios(SSP1-2.6,SSP2-4.5,SSP3-7.0,and SSP5-8.5).Validation using Chinese Antarctic research expedition data indicated that the high accuracy of the integrated model. We found that areas with high suitability indices for E.antarctica are concentrated in the eastern seas of Antarctic Peninsula and southeastern Antarctic seas.Over the mid-century and end-century periods under four different climate change scenarios, there is an overall decreasing trend in suitable habitat for E.antarctica.Due to regional differences in climate response across the Southern Ocean, habitat loss for E.antarctica primarily occured in the Atlantic Sector and Indian Sector while new habitat areas for E.antarctica will emerge in the offshore waters of Amundsen Sea in Pacific Sector.关键词
