Abstract

In the construction of offshore wind farms,the critical importance of fire protection design and the labor-intensive,time-consuming,and error-prone nature of manual compliance checks have led to widespread research on Automatic Compliance Checking(ACC)as a potential alternative.This paper proposed an ACC method for the fire protection design of offshore wind farms based on IFC(Industry Foundation Class)and ontology,with computer-readable and checkable rules as research objects.The binding levels and the fire control modes in the explicit specifications are classified respectively to clarify the critical points of fire protection design checking and further establish a taxonomy of rules.Then an offshore wind farm fire protection design specification ontology is explored to structuralize the rules.Adopting the IFC format to express the wind farm's BIM(Building Information Modeling)model,this paper realizes the extraction,expansion,and transformation of model data.The semantic interoperabili-ty and knowledge reasoning between heterogeneous ontologies are realized by mapping the transformed model data in ontology form to the specification ontology.Finally,this paper takes the BIM design model of an offshore wind farm as an example for validation and develops a prototype system for ACC of offshore wind farm fire protection design.This study can provide a valuable reference for the ACC of offshore wind farm fire protection design.
