Fractal Contact Model of Rough Spherical Surfaces Considering Multi-Scale Effects

Abstract
In order to improve the contact carrying capacity of bearing parts,a multi-scale spherical contact mechanics model was established by the research group.Firstly,the influence of frequency index on the elastic-plastic deformation stage was studied.Secondly,the improved asperity contact area distribution function was derived by associating the radius of curvature of the two spheres with the contact area distribution function.Finally,the effects of spherical curvature radius ratio,fractal parameters and frequency index on the total contact area and total contact load of the model were analyzed.The results show that the internal contact has a larger total contact area than the external contact,increasing the ratio of fractal dimension and spherical curvature radius can increase the total contact area of the two spheres.Increasing the material characteristic parameters and characteristic scale parameters lead to a decrease in the total contact area.The larger diameter of the asperity substrate,the greater contribution to the total contact area.关键词
