The current situation of nursing human resource allocation in Guizhou province

Abstract
Objective:To analyze the allocation and changing trend of nursing human resource in Guizhou province from 2013 to 2023,and to explore configuration fairness,so as to provide a basis for improving the fairness and balance of nursing human resource allocation in Guizhou province.Methods:Statistical methods were adopted to describe the current situation of nursing human resource allocation in Guizhou province.The configuration fairness was analyzed by using the Lorentz curve and the Gini coefficient.Finally,the agglomeration degree and health resource density index were used to analyze the specific allocation situation and demand forecast of each city.Results:From 2013 to 2023,the number of registered nurses in Guizhou province increased from 59 368 to 163 692,with an average annual growth rate of 15.97%.In 2023,the Gini coefficients distributed by population and geographical area were 0.07 and 0.29 respectively.The concentration degree of nursing human resources allocated by geographical area in each city was greater than that allocated by population.The nursing human resource in cities of Guizhou province was lack and coexisted with redundancy.Conclusions:The total allocation of nursing human resources in Guizhou province had steadily increased.The fairness of nursing human resources based on population distribution was superior to that based on geographical distribution.The fairness of geographical distribution needed to be improved.It suggested that the fairness of the allocation of nursing human resources in Guizhou province be enhanced through measures such as government leadership,the joint action of diversified methods,scientific allocation of nursing human resources,strengthening guidance and incentives as well as cross-regional collaboration,and supply-side reform of nursing human resources.关键词
