The reliability and validity test of the 12-item shortened Chinese version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale

Abstract
Objective:To test the reliability and validity of the 12-item shortened Chinese version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted among 458 caregivers of children with cancer and epilepsy.A 12-item shortened Chinese version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale was developed using factor analysis and screening of entries with expert opinion.A total of 285 adult cancer patients were selected for the investigation.And the reliability and validity of the 12-item shortened Chinese version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale were tested.Results:The Cronbach's α coefficient of the 12-item shortened Chinese version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale was 0.914.And the split-half reliability was 0.866.The scale-level content validity index(S-CVI)was 0.920.And the item-level content validity index(I-CVI)ranged from 0.830 to 1.000.The revised confirmatory factor analysis model showed that all indexes of the model were in the acceptable range.Conclusions:The 12-item shortened Chinese version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale has good reliability and validity among cancer patients.It could be used as a measurement tool for rapidly assessing the family resilience of patients.关键词
