Investigation on the current situation of pipeline safety management for inpatients in secondary and tertiary hospitals in Shandong province

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the current situation of pipeline safety management for inpatients in secondary and tertiary hospitals in Shandong province.Methods:A self-made questionnaire was used to investigate the corresponding responsible departments of 179 secondary and tertiary hospitals in Shandong province.Results:The construction of the patient pipeline safety management mechanism in some hospitals was not sound.And 58.10%of the hospitals had a special quality control system.There was no difference in the mechanism construction level among hospitals at different levels.The management structure was ambiguous.And persons in charge were mainly composed of different levels of nursing management.Policy support and few guiding documents were insufficient.The risk assessment and evaluation tools of each hospital mainly came from revised external tools,with a small number of self-formulated.Some hospitals directly adopted external tools.The informatization construction lagged behind.And 57.74%of the hospitals had achieved dynamic supervision.Only 48.04%of the hospitals had statistically analyzed the rate of unplanned extubation and re-intubation.And 51.40%of the hospitals had decision support systems.There was no standard for the frequency of pipeline safety management training in various hospitals.The training content and quality were not guaranteed.Only 10.06%of the management personnel had no training experience outside the hospital.The difficulties in carrying out the work involved few guiding opinions and channels for obtaining them,weak support from the hospital's information system,and insufficient management personnel.The requirements mainly included increasing standardized training for pipeline management personnel,providing relevant command and control standards,and enriching information system support.Conclusions:The safety management of inpatient pipelines in secondary and above medical institutions in Shandong province needed to be further standardized.The government's health department and medical institutions need to collaborate with each other to improve the level of pipeline safety management and enhance the quality of care.关键词
