Abstract

Head loss is a key index to evaluate the hydraulic performance of a filter.By taking the pre-pump mesh filter-float pontoon mesh rotary filter as the research object,physical model tests were carried out at 15 sets of flow rates(768-1 068 L/h)and three apertures of filter screen(0.180,0.150,0.125 mm)under clear water conditions,and the results of the physical tests were analyzed using analysis of variance,dimensional analysis,and multiple linear regression analysis.The results show that the flow rate has a significant effect on the head loss of pontoon mesh rotary fil-ter,the effect of screen aperture of screen is not significant,and the head loss rises with the flow rate.A prediction model for the head loss of the pontoon mesh rotary filter under the condition of clear water is established,with a coefficient of determination of R2 of 0.978 and a root-mean-square error of RMSE of 0.047 1.It has been empirically verified that the maximum relative error of the predicted value is 2.292%,the minimum relative error is 0.264%,and the average relative error is 1.33%,which indicates that the model can accurately predict the head loss of the pontoon mesh rotary filter under clear water conditions.The research results can provide a certain reference for the further opti-mization and application of the pontoon mesh rotary filter while enriching the hydraulic performance results of the pre-pump filter.
