摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical application value of metagenomic capture(MetaCAP)-based next-generation sequencing technology in the etiological diagnosis of pulmonary infections. Methods:A total of 122 patients with pulmonary infections were selected from Shantou Central Hospital between January and December 2024.Bronchoscopy was performed to collect bronchoalveolar lavage fluid samples, which were then subjected to both MetaCAP testing and traditional pathogen culture. The differences between the two methods were compared in terms of pathogen detection rate, detection rates of different pathogen types, and mixed infection detection rates. Results:The overall positive detection rate of MetaCAP was 89.3%(109/122),significantly higher than that of traditional culture(39.3%,48/122)(P<0.05).MetaCAP demonstrated significant advantages in detecting various pathogens:bacteria(80.3%vs.35.2%),fungi(27.9%vs.4.9%),Mycobacterium tuberculosis(8.2%vs.0%),and viruses(59.8%vs.0%),with all differences being statistically significant(P<0.05).Notably,in mixed infections,MetaCAP detected triple or higher mixed infections in 66.1%(72/109)of cases, whereas traditional culture yielded no positive results.Conclusion:MetaCAP-based next-generation sequencing technology significantly improves the detection rate of pathogens in pulmonary infections, particularly demonstrating unique advantages in diagnosing viral infections,Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and mixed infections.关键词
