摘要

Abstract

In recent years,the cement concrete bridge deck pavement layer of highways in China often suffers from whitening disease,which seriously affects the service performance and durability of the bridge deck.In order to fur-ther study the cause mechanism of the disease,based on-site measurements,combined with indoor experiments and software simulation analysis,a finite element simulation calculation model for bridge deck whitening disease was established on the base of different porosity and pressure difference conditions.Based on on-site investigation the self-designed indoor flooding test,the external environmental factors and internal material pore requirements were determined for the occurrence of whitening disease,and the geometric constraints for establishing the finite element model were explored.The research results show that the air pressure difference caused by high temperature rain-storm in summer is the main driving force for the whitening of bridge deck;The resistance of fluid movement in the horizontal direction is much greater than that in the vertical direction;There is a positive correlation between air pressure difference,material porosity,and flooding velocity;For asphalt mixture specimens with porosity of 4%to 6%and a connected porosity of 1%to 3%,even the pressure difference reaches 30 kPa,there is no water overflow on the surface.Therefore,the range of porosity<6%and connected porosity<3%of the asphalt mixture is defined as the non whitening range.The porosity of pavement materials is one of the important internal factors causing whitening.In practical engineering,the occurrence of bridge deck whitening disease can be effectively prevented by controlling the porosity of asphalt mixture.
